What does the Judgement Tarot Card mean?

Ace of Wands Tarot Card Meaning

Element: Fire

Function: Will, activity, Imagination, Beginnings

An extremely large white right hand appears from a grey cloud. It is holding a wand above the land. In the far background, you can see a white castle, a strong building where the people that rule this land will live.

There is a river flowing through the land, creating distance between the hand and the castle, separating the land. Despite humans making the rules, the rive shows emotion and the psychic charge keeping the two things apart.

We can’t assume that the laws created by humans are the same as those of the universe. The hand holds the wand that shows sign of life, and so obeys the universe. It is a tool that will direct energy from one location to another. As the wand is facing straight up, it might mean that the hand is prepared to use this energy.

The hand could be giving you the wand. This could be an offering for you to create your own rules and not necessarily follow the rules of the universe. It is a sign for you to do what your gut is telling you to do. You never know, if you break away from the rules and create your own, it could be you in the castle one day.

The Ace of Wands is simply a card telling you that it’s time for action. It is an encouragement for you to go ahead with what you have in mind. There is no need to overthink what you need to do. This card strongly suggests that you follow your instincts, regardless of what the world is telling you.

It is also a card that points to the start of things, after all, there are the first signs of life on the wand. The suit of wands symbolizes the life force, determination, and creativity. It is the nudge in the right direction towards something more imaginative and powerful.

If you receive this card in a reading, it’s a sign that you are about to establish a new path for yourself and a sign not to just follow behind someone else. Furthermore, the Ace of Wands is encouraging to do something that none of your friends or family has done before.

When Reversed:

In the upturned position, this card might highlight the fact that you are scared to begin something new but you know that it is completely necessary. You might be used to following others, but now it is time to step out of your comfort zone.

You might also feel that you don’t have the ability to do something new, or you don’t think you have free time. There might be a genuine reason for not being able to chase your dreams, or it could all be in your mind.

Really, these are probably just excuses that are covering up your fear or lack of knowing where to begin. Maybe there isn’t anyone in your life who can show you by example.

There could have been a time in your past when you followed your instincts and this has impacted your life up until now. There may also have been a life-changing experience in your recent past.

If you have the will to work hard, there will be a positive, happy future ahead. This is more about tapping into your creativity in order to reach your potential. If you are confused about the direction you are heading in, don’t worry, there are always a few bumps along the way when you start something new.
