What does the Judgement Tarot Card mean?

Eight of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning

Element: Earth

Function: Belongings, wealth, tangible objects, practicality

Six pentacles are fixed to a tree in a row. There is a young man sat on a bench with a chisel and hammer working in the next pentacle and there is also another pentacle on the ground waiting to be completed. The pentagrams can already be been, so rather than making them, he could be fixing or perfecting them.

He is alone on his bench and the city is far away in the distance. He is wearing a blue shirt, red stockings and shoes, the colors of serenity in the mind, and passion and magic. On the outside, he is calm and focused, but on the inside, there is a passion that is driving him. He is engrossed in his work; he is happy with what he does and it doesn’t seem like he would prefer to do anything else.

What is the next stage? Do the pentacles remain attached to the tree or does he keep them? Perhaps he will give them to someone else in an act of kindness or charity. This is not important. What is meaningful here is the work and not the achievement. He as to keep working the way he is in order to succeed. His focus should remain on the present, the work that he is doing now and not what may happen in the future.

The Eight of Pentacles points to concentration working hard, paying attention to detail and striving towards perfection. You should take pride in your work because you have put a great deal of effort into it. Again, pride is not the significance of this card, it’s the labor that got you here.

It is a good idea to find ways to teach yourself and remember the lessons you can learn from experience. Maybe the number of pentacles isn’t relevant, but it’s that this man keeps going until he gets it right. The education connected to this card is about apprenticeships and hands-on experience rather than that you receive from a book.

Finally, this card could also warn us about perfectionism. How much detail to the pentagrams really need and does it justify the hard work and efforts?

When Reversed:

It is highly possible that you are not willing to learn from your experiences or you don’t want to do the job yourself. It might not be that your required learning is practical, but maybe in how to apply yourself. Without it, you might not know how to follow things through to the end.

You may also be overly obsessed with getting the details right and this leads you to miss the bigger picture. You need to learn when enough is enough, but you may end up trying so hard that you ruin what you are working on. Stop when you are ahead, that way you aren’t in danger of destroying your success.

You may be putting a great deal of effort into something but you should think about just what you are putting that effort into. Your devotion now will be worth it. If you need inspiration, look back at your hobbies when you were a child.

You may have to decide if you are willing to put the hard work into something in order to see the rewards. Don’t overlook an easier path if one is available. Consider all of your options. If you are passionate about something, it could be a good moment to make it a more significant part of your life.

It is likely that your future includes a successful career or an important creating that may change people’s lives for the better. If this is something you are working on the moment, keep going. If not, see what you can do in order to help others.
