What does the Judgement Tarot Card mean?

Four of Wands Tarot Card Meaning

Element: Fire

Function: Will, activity, Imagination, Beginnings

For the first time in this suit, we see a couple waving at the reader. The couple is in the distance and seems to be celebrating their wedding. The four wands are closer with a canopy of flowers and fruit hanging across the top, inviting us to walk under it.

The card is welcoming. Perhaps there is a party and the happy couple are waiting to greet their guests. The man has a blue cloak draped across one shoulder, the color of clarity. The woman’s red robes represent life. Behind them, there is a group of people in front of a castle.

The ground, however, seems to be the same dirt as the man looked across in the Three of Wands. The castle is white, and its purity draws the tired traveler in to enjoy the party that is taking place. This is a sign of peace between various groups of people.

In contrast, the land just in front of the castle is rich and green. On the left of the card, the castle is smaller, but it gains height as we move across the width of the entire card.

The Four of Wands represents stability, as well as an occasion to celebrate. The man made it through the challenging journey in the Three of Wands, he crossed the mountains not knowing what was on the other side. What could be found over the mountains was a social life, material gain and security.

The welcome embrace of the couple is like what you get from your parents after being away for so long. Such a welcome requires family, love, and happiness. This card points to the places in your life where you feel welcome and looked after. This doesn’t have to be your home or even your family.

The Four of Wands creates harmony. The happy couple has chosen to become one. You too must choose to find or create harmony in your life. This could be among your own family and your own friends.

When Reversed:

This is often a sign of social rejection or that you are lacking peace. Rejection could be because of your doing or because of others, this will depend on the circumstances. There could be people you should get along with in your life, but you find that they are the complete opposite of you.

In this position, you may feel that your life isn’t stable. There could be problems with your marriage or a change in your family situation that disrupts the peace. It is, of course, possible, that you are in denial about whatever is upsetting the peace and therefore the problem goes unsolved.

It is also possible that you are clinging to your life of freedom and that you reject relationships with commitment or you’re the relationships with your family. You prefer the life of liberty to the stability a group can offer.

It may be that in the past you have made a continuous effort and now this is becoming fruitful. You will become successful in your work or studies if you keep doing what you have been doing. You might have also just finished an important aspect of your life.

Take some time to really learn more about your chosen field and don’t be scared to ask for other people’s opinions. Even those without experience may be able to offer you some wisdom.

You might be part of a big occasion coming up soon and you shouldn’t worry if you keep to the rules. There may be a celebration at work if you have excelled at something.
