Function: Belongings, wealth, tangible objects, practicality
In the middle of a spring meadow, there is a young man holding up a pentacle. He is wearing orange and green, the symbols of enthusiasm and new life. On the right, there is a plowed field representing newness and potential whereas on the left, there is a fully-grown forest, a sign of the cycle of life and the wisdom that comes with time. Past the plowed field, there is a mountain showing its stability.
This man holds his pentacle in a way of devotion, either that, or he is so hypnotized with it that he can’t see anything else around him. It might be that there is no need for him to focus on what surrounds him. The sky is completely gold as it appears that wealth surrounds him, implying he doesn’t have to worry. As he looks at his pentacle, he may be deciding how and when he will gain his wealth.
The Page of Pentacles is different from the other pages. There is no danger in this card and the man is well-grounded. He doesn’t hold a weapon and he isn’t surrounded by a barren desert or angry waves of the ocean. This card tells us that he is going to be ok. He is no fool and is practical and enthusiastic about the first steps he could be about to take.
As he concentrates solely on his pentacle and not into the distance, we can see that his interest in his plans to acquire material wealth. His goal is real and attainable, and he isn’t about to lose himself in doing so.
This card is a sign of new beginnings with regards to materials and about those initial practical steps to getting there. There is nothing imaginary or unreal about the goal. We aren’t sure if the young man is about to take these steps now. If he does want to take them, he will have to stop the daydream and take action.
The Page of Pentacles points to our new dreams and ideas that are logical. He might be young and inexperienced, but his dreams can be obtained, the question is if it is him who will attain them.
It means that you too should focus on your goals for material gain. It might mean that you start a new business or change something in your career.
It strongly implies that you have set your goals too high or you aren’t being practical about them or what you hope to make for yourself. You may be aiming too high or too low and your confidence is not at the right level to achieve.
In this position, the Page of Pentacles could suggest that you tend to underachieve because you are happy for taking the easy road instead of putting in the effort. On the other hand, you might be making the effort yet challenges keep blocking your path to starting the journey that will allow you to accomplish financial stability and wealth.
There was a time in your past when you had plenty of focus and you were ambitious. It was clear to see what you wanted from life and this inspired you. If you need similar motivation now, you should think back to what created these feelings in a past situation.
Life is good at the moment and in the near future, things are likely to get even better. Any bumps in the road are nothing to be concerned about and learn what you can from the experience. You may still be setting new goals but for the most, you are happy with most parts of your life.
There will be a situation in the future that you are going have to get through and though you will struggle, you will succeed. If you happen to be in a difficult position now, it means that if you keep doing what you are doing, focus on what you will gain, and you will be ok.
The answer is going to be yes.
