What to ask at a psychic reading

Are you feeling called to visit a psychic for a reading? Do you know what it is you want to talk about? Going to a reading can shed light on difficult or challenging situations. Perhaps you have an important decision to make, but the pressure to chose a path has you feeling twisted and confused.

A clairvoyant can provide insight into a spectrum of issues pertaining to your life. The best way to get a clear reading is to know what your objective is and what questions you should ask. So how do you figure out what to ask?

The first and most important question to ask is; what exactly do I want to know? This might seem obvious, but taking the time to get clear on your intention will dramatically improve your reading.

In emotionally complex situations, it’s natural to have a jumble of questions going through your mind that all feel related to the main topic but are actually going in different directions. For example, your life and career might be tied together at the moment. Perhaps you are offered a promotion at the same time your partner is offered a tremendous high paid position for a company in another city or state.

The obvious questions are, should I go with my partner or try a long-distance relationship? Quit my job, take the promotion or ask my partner to stay and give up their opportunity? These are all valid questions, but the most important ones relate to your underlying motivation for asking.

In a soup of possibilities such as this, the thing you really want to know is; what is more important to me right now, my career or my relationship? Maybe for you, the more pertinent question is not should I move to another city with my partner, it’s, are they the one?

Before attending a reading reflect on your intention by writing down the answer to these questions,

  • What is going on in my life right now?
  • What about it is unclear or what areas do I need advice on?
  • Prioritize the list of questions and then consider what is the benefit of finding answers to these particular questions? This will help you get to the heart of your inquiry.

After clarifying your intention, write down a few questions which directly relate to the issue and will help you to solve it. You might ask ‘is my partner, my soulmate?’ or ‘will the relationship last if I chose to relocate with them?’.

The more direct and focused your questions are the clearer your answers will be. The added benefit of this is that it will help you to calm your mind and channel your energy. That makes it easier for the clairvoyant to gain a picture of the situation, it’s roots and possible outcomes.

Try to avoid questions about a specific time as the future is in constant production and being determined the individual choices made by everyone on the planet. For this reason, there may be delays or unclear messages.

If you ask ‘when exactly am I going to get married?’ the clairvoyant may see the number 5. It’s impossible to predict if the number 5 corresponds to days, weeks months or years. Or they may see your marriage taking place during summer, but that could mean the next summer or a summer 3 years from now.

Here are some examples of concise questions you might ask a psychic;

  • Is a partner a soulmate?
  • Is my partner a twin flame?
  • Are we going to get married?
  • How can I find my soulmate?
  • Are we going to have children?

  • What will my finances be like in the future?
  • Should I leave my job?
  • Will I get a promotion soon?
  • What do the spirits/my guides tell me about my job?
  • What can I do to find my calling?

  • What does the universe want me to know about my family?
  • How can I restore peace at home?

  • Is there a way to help my family heal?

  • Is there anything I need to know about my health?
  • Is there anything I need to know about the health of my family?
  • Do I need to change my diet?

At the end of your reading, ask your guide if they see anything else valuable. This invites information to enter the conversation, which might have been left out for the sake of staying on point during the reading.
